Heppy's Pie Lady began with a simple love for baking — and a woman named Corrine Weir. Back in 1991, what started in Corrine’s cozy kitchen quickly became a local treasure. Each pie she baked carried not just flavor, but the warmth of home, tradition, and the generations before her.
Heppys, is more than a brand — it's a tribute to Corrine’s father, Earl Weir, affectionately nicknamed Heppy. Known for his strong character and infectious humor, Earl’s spirit continues to shape the heart of Heppy’s Pie Lady. Corrine often said her success came from him — his resilience, his joy, and the love he brought to everything he did.
Yvonne, Corrine's mother, was her culinary compass. A proud French Acadian, Yvonne was famous for her incredible home cooking. Together, she and Corrine perfected their family’s most treasured recipes, especially the signature meat and pot pies that became customer favorites. But Yvonne passed on more than recipes — she shared her philosophy:
“Make it with love, and they’ll always come back for more.”
That legacy carried Heppy's for many years — and when the time came to pass the torch, something beautiful happened.
When Corrine and the old school of Heppy's stepped away, a new owner took the reins — and in a remarkable twist of fate, her name was also Yvonne. Though she came from a different cultural background, this new Yvonne embraced the soul of Heppy’s with open arms. She honored every tradition, every recipe, and added her own cultural flair to the menu, bringing in signature dishes from her own heritage while preserving what made Heppy's special.
Through her dedication, creativity, and commitment to quality, Heppy’s found new life. The community once again rallied around the little pie shop with a big heart — drawn in by the delicious food and the story behind every bite.
